I finally tried the new Dior Homme 2020 yesterday and immediate had to buy a bottle. It's a modern masterpiece and easily my new signature. I got my hands on Dior Homme Intense 2020 (reformulated), it smells less richer than how 2011 was. But however it stills smells dreamy to me, and the ladies love it a lot. Give it some time. It's like an all-encompassing Dior fragrance for men. About the changes. Where patchouli, oud, and leather once boldly took the forefront, there is now the softness of sandalwood and ambrette, beautifully complementing the powdery, almost lipstick-like iris.
The bergamot smells more like an anonymous citrus, but I can clearly smell the pepper, and it quickly transitions into mid-notes and patchouli quickly becomes prominent. So after 10 minutes from spray, it goes from smelling like powdery dust and makeup to makeup mixed with woody notes. Some masculine scents that I love include the original Dior Homme, Hermes Eau de Cologe, Ermenegildo Zegna Javanese Patchouli, and of course Dior Eau Sauvage. I also like Histoires de Parfum's 1899 Hemingway - it's a more elegant version of V&R's Spice Bomb.Dior Homme Parfum represents the quintessence of Dior Homme.
